Youm-e-Ali (RA): Pillion riding banned in Lahore for two days

LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government has imposed a ban on pillion riding in Lahore for two days in connection with the Youm-e-Ali (RA) observance. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has also directed to ensure foolproof security arrangements on Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Ali (RA). CM Buzdar said execution on given security plan should be ensured at all cost. Police should work very attentively to foil evil designs of anti-social elements. He said every step should be taken to make sure peace and protection of life and property of people. Youm-e-Ali, observed on the 21st of Ramzan, sees large processions across the country commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA). Security forces and traffic police in different cities of the country have prepared plans for peaceful observation of the occasion and smooth flow of traffic on the day.
