LAHORE (92 News) – Youm-e-Ashur is being observed today across the country with religious fervor solemnity. Mourning processions are being carried out across the country to remember the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions Karbala. Alam, Zuljinah and Taazia processions will be taken out in all big and small towns. The Ulema and Zakireen will highlight the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain and various aspects of Karbla tragedy. At stalls, food, water, milk and juices have been arranged for the mourners. Stringent security arrangements are also made for the processions. Heavy contingent of police and Rangers are guarding the processions. Pillion riding is also banned in various cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta. Mobile phone service will also remain suspended in Punjab along the routes of processions. In Karachi, the central procession was received from Nishtar Park. Police and Rangers have made strict security arrangements. The processions are being monitored through CCTV and drone cameras. In Lahore, the main procession of Youm-e-Ashur emerging from Nisar Haveli is on its traditional route. The procession will conclude at Karbala Gamey Shah after passing through its fixed routes. Moreover, a large number of people are gathering in Middle East and other countries to observe Youm-e-Ashur. Thousands of people are paying homage at the shrine of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). Mourners from around the world are paying tribute to this great sacrifice of human history.
