Youm-e-Istehsal being observed across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The nation is observing "Youm-e-Istehsal" on Wednesday to mark the first anniversary of India’s illegal action of scrapping the special constitutional status of Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. "Youm-e-Istehsal" is being observed to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people on completion of one year military siege of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It was on the 5th August last year that the special constitutional status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir was scrapped by the Modi government. To mark the day, one minute silence was observed at 10:00am across the country. Television channels and radio stations played national anthems of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Traffic also came to a halt for one minute. Since the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian constitution in August, last year, the Modi-led fascist Indian government continues to adhere to the policy of coercion, torture and deception to undermine the Muslim majority character of Jammu and Kashmir by changing its demography. Rallies are being taken out across the country to denounce the Indian unilateral illegal actions against Kashmiri people as well as the atrocities being carried out by the Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The main rally in Islamabad was led by President Dr. Arif Alvi, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz also led rallies in the Federal capital. The participants of the walk wore black bands around their arms and carried flags of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. They chanted slogans against the Indian brutalities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, posters and billboards have been displayed at the main roads of Islamabad and other provincial capitals to highlight the plight of Kashmiri people and expose the atrocities being committed by the occupation forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. A host of events have been arranged in order to denounce the Indian unilateral illegal actions against Kashmiri people as well as the atrocities being carried out by the Indian forces in Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. On this day, the whole nation will give a message to their Kashmiri brethren that they are not alone rather the people of Pakistan will always support their struggle for freedom.
PM will address Legislative Assembly of AJK
Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday to further highlight the Kashmiri people’s struggle for freedom and their sufferings at the hands of Indian occupation forces.
Hurriyat leader calls for observing complete shutdown today
Meanwhile in a message to the people, veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani has called for observing complete shutdown on Wednesday. Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and the world over are observing Youm-e-Istehsal to denounce illegal, immoral and unconstitutional step, which India took on this day last year to strip the IIOJK of its special status.
