ISLAMABAD (92 News) - In connection with Youm-e-Istehsal, a rally was taken out from foreign office on the constitution avenue in Islamabad today to express solidarity with oppressed Kashmiri people.

People belonging to different walks of life including parliamentarians participated in the rally.

Carrying banners, the participants chanted slogans in support of Kashmiri people and against the Indian atrocities.

Speaking to the participants of the rally at D-Chowk, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that today we have come together to show solidarity with the people of Occupied Kashmir. What is happening in Kashmir demands more than that. Our commitment to Kashmir is eternal, this commitment will never wane. The situation in Pakistan will never affect our resolve.

The Kashmir cause is a festering wound that calls for salve, that salve is the resolve of the Pakistani people, which must be expressed everywhere. Our forces have fought wars for the cause of Kashmir, blood has been given for this cause since 1947. Even today, I will salute those who are guarding the borders.

In his remarks, Adviser on Kashmir Affairs Qamar Zaman Kaira said the Kashmiri people have been braving the Indian atrocities over the last seven decades and sacrificed over one hundred thousand lives.

He said every Pakistani is aware of its national responsibility and stands by their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
