Youm-e-Takbeer being observed with enthusiasm across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The nation is observing the Youm-e-Takbeer, the celebration of Pakistan’s atomic explosions in 1998, with zeal and fervor across country on Thursday. On May 28, 1998, Pakistan joined the prestigious club of seven nuclear powers by conducting nuclear tests in response to India’s initiative of testing nukes on May 11 and 13 the same year. The nuclear explosions, which were conducted in self-defence to respond to India's aggression of nuclear tests, made Pakistan's defence invincible. As a result, Pakistan became the first nuclear power in the Muslim world and seventh in the world. Several functions were not held in connection with the Youm-e-Takbeer across the country due to the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).
