Young doctors continue protest across Punjab

LAHORE (92 News) – Young doctors have on Thursday continue their protest in different cities across Punjab to press the provincial government for the acceptance of their demands. The doctors shutdown outpatient departments (OPDs) in different cities of Punjab which created problems for patients. Senior doctors were seen working in government hospitals however; people were troubled due to their shortage. In Lahore, the doctors continue their protest to press the provincial government for the acceptance of their demands. The protesting doctors raised slogans against authorities. Meanwhile, the patients are facing hardships as Young Doctors’ protest continue against Central Induction Post Graduate policy and boycotted services. Owing to the protest of young doctors, the patients suffered as outpatient departments (OPDs) remained close. Patients and their attendants felt extremely disappointed when they had to return without treatment, while several others had to take their patients to private hospitals.
