Earlier, lashing at incumbent government and Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz on Sunday promised that the PDM's movement would continue till the people were relieved of the 'darkness of incompetence'.

Addressing the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) power show at the Bagh-e-Jinnah in Karachi, Maryam Nawaz paid tribute to the Sindh government and lauded the services of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah for their efforts amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I would not be able to repay the love which I have received during my Karachi visit today,” she said and added that Karachi’s maiden appearance has reminded her of late Benazir Bhutto, whom she had met only once. “I did not feel any difference between the streets of Lahore and Karachi,” added Maryam Nawaz.

Strongly criticizing the PTI-led government, Maryam Nawaz said, "Yesterday, you must have seen on your TV screens a man screaming his defeat,” she told the crowd. “You [PM Imran] tell people ‘ghabrana nai hai’, there has only been one jalsa yet and you are worrying already,” she added.

"Promised to build 5 million houses, how many houses you build it. You increased the prices of medicine more five times expensive and snatched the jobs and houses from the people. "You made the cause for 'fall of Kashmir' as well as brought an ordinance for Kubhushan Jadhav. You also voted for India," the PML-N vice president blamed PM Khan and his government.

She further said that If Imran Khan's corruption exposes, the people will touch their ears. She said that the fall of Kashmir is your deed, it is your deed to isolate Pakistan in the world.

"[Peshawar] BRT is your accomplishment, which was made with Rs120 billion, while four BRT's were made in the country with Rs80 billion. Billion tree tsunami is your accomplishment, rising inflation is your accomplishment, disrespect for women is your accomplishment, gang-rape is your accomplishment, and a suicide attack on the economy is your accomplishment," Maryam maintained.

Maryam said that the opposition leaders were termed as 'traitors' when they raised questions on the governments' policies. "Don't narrate the story of traitors to us, if the decision in foreign funding cases is made, then [your] treason will come to light."

Maryam, slamming the premier, said: "You pray for Modi's success and look for a government lawyer for Kulbhushan, and blame the Opposition for speaking Modi's language?"

Commenting on the statements regarding imposing a ban on PML-N, Maryam Nawaz said that if the party was banned, then the government would have to put curbs on the people as well. "PML-N is not just a party, it is the spokesperson and the identity of millions of people," Maryam said.

Reacting to PM Khan's comment that a government cannot be ousted through meetings and movements, she said that it will "happen" as well.

The PML-N vice-president "promised" that the PDM's movement would continue till the people were relieved of the "darkness of incompetence", Maryam added.

"Jo buzdil hai wo hat jae, jo shair hai wo lar jae (let the coward be removed, and let the lion stand strong)," she added.
