Zainab Murder: Father demands DNA test of cops, district officials, public representatives

KASUR (92 News) – As the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) failed to arrest the culprit behind the brutal rape and murder of seven-year-old Zainab in Kasur even after 11 days, the father of minor girl demanded the DNA test of local police officers, district officials and public representatives. Ameen Ansari, father of minor seven-year-old Zainab, while demanding to conduct the DNA test on local police officers, district officials and public representatives said that why do DNA test was being conducted on only their relatives and area residents, adding that if the government was serious in arresting the culprits the test should be conducted on everyone. A total of at least 600 DNA samples have been collected in a bid to identify the murderer of seven-year-old Zainab, however, none of the collected DNAs yet have matched that of the criminal after a forensic science agency has completed reports of around 400 DNA samples. The reports of another 200 samples are yet to be finalized. The authorities have made some 80 individuals undergo the test for resembling the sketch of the offender along with the criminals who have completed their sentences in rape cases.
