Zainab was murdered after rape on Jan 4, tells accused Imran

LAHORE (92 News) – The accused Imran has revealed that he had murdered seven-year-old Zainab after raping her on a heap of garbage on January 4. Her body was recovered after four days on the lead of a milkman. Zainab was kidnapped on January 4 and her body was found on January 8. In the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the accused had kept her in his custody. According to BBC, suspicion arose when victim’s father Ameen Ansari said that the police officers had informed him that the accused kept her in his custody. However, there is a contradiction between the statements of police officers and Zainab’s father. According to the police, the culprit wanted to take her to an under-construction house and changed his plan after seeing a man there. The body of Zainab remained on the heap of garbage for four days. According to BBC, the garbage heap spreads over 30-40 kanals and there is no population around it. The police said that the body had been defaced, but it was lying beside a wall. Owing to the winter, the body was not affected.
