Zardari, Faryal get another 10-day physical remand in fake bank accounts cases

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - An accountability court extended 10-day physical remand each of PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur in separate hearings in the federal capital on Monday. The PPP co-chairman and his sister were brought to the court in connection with fake bank accounts reference cases involving money laundering. The NAB prosecutor pleaded with the court to extend physical remand of Asif Zardari. Zardari's counsel Latif Khosa requested Judge Muhammad Bashir to extend physical remand as of August 19 because of Eidul Azha holidays. The judge, however, remarked that the court could issue maximum remand of 15 days in one go. The court ordered to produce Zardari before the court on August 8. In another case, the court also extended 10-day physical remand of Frayal Talpur.
