ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Former president Asif Ali Zardari has sought one month respite from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the New York flat inquiry.

The NAB has received the reply of Zardari on New York flat Inquiry. Asif Zardari submitted the reply through his lawyer.

Zardari's New York flat Inquiry has received a response from the NAB. According to the sources, the former president asked the NAB for a month's respite. Asif Zardari submitted the reply through his lawyer.

Earlier, the NAB had issued a notice to PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari seeking a reply on property in New York.

According to the NAB notice sent on June 15, apparently no money was sent from Pakistan to buy property in New York.

Asif Ali Zardari has approached the Islamabad High Court for bail. In the petition, Zardari adopted a stance that he should be given time to gather information. "I have a number of illnesses and are being treated," he added. He also demanded that the notice be declared illegal.

The bureau had said in a notice sent to Zardari that he has an apartment in Manhattan New York, which was not disclosed in Pakistan. Apparently no legal money was sent from Pakistan to buy this apartment. Submit details by June 24, 2021.
