Zeenat murder case: Police arrest victim’s brother

LAHORE (92 News) – The police have arrested the absconding brother of Zeenat who was murdered allegedly by her mother and brother in Nishtar Colony. In his statement, Anees, victim’s brother, told police that he had slept after Sehr and his mother had murdered Zeenat. He said that he had escaped on the advice of his friends. He said that he had courted his arrest. He said that his mother had tried to kill Zeenat twice. Zeenat, 17, was burnt alive for contracting the marriage of her choice. Meanwhile, the police have also arrested her maternal uncle Mushtaq and brother-in-law Zafar.
