NAUDERO (92 News) – The 40th death anniversary of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is being observed on Thursday. In a message, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that their leader had not taught them to be intimidated. “ZAB gave voice and conscious to the crushed communities,” he said. He said that the exploitative powers had victimized the people along with the party. “If the parliament is kept unaware of the national issues, then it should be considered each thing wrong,” he said. The PPP co-chairman said that the Quaid-e-Awam had also taught the workers not to surrender. In his message, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam, changed the course of the history while the Quaid-e-Awam Bhutto paved the way for a democratic revolution and created immense awareness for democracy and its blessings due to which chauvinist, anti-democratic and radical forces would always find it difficult to impose their anti-democratic agendas or rule over the country. He said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s immense contributions on the forefront of politics, diplomatic, economic and international affairs are praiseworthy and thought-provoking. Bilawal further said that as Bhutto always believed in consensus hence, he gave the unanimously approved Constitution of 1973, which was indeed, a manifestation of real consensus. “The motive behind his gigantic efforts for Pakistan-China friendship was laid in that very characteristic of his inspiring personality. Sino-Pakistan relations have turned into a practical aspect of one body and two souls,” he said while adding that his grandfather made the country’s defence invincible and introduced people-friendly policies with which the working classes benefitted. Bilawal concluded by saying that the present situation that has prevailed over the country calls for the supremacy of the parliament and constitution because it is all that revolves around the ideology of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
