LAHORE (92 News) – An Accountability Court (AC) on Monday extended the physical remand of former Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general Ahad Cheema and Bishmillah Engineering Company CEO Shahid Shafiq for 15 days.

Ahad Cheema and Shahid Shafique were presented before the court amid tight security after their physical remand ended.

In today’s proceedings, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials requested the court to extend the remand of both the accused.

The court ordered the authorities to produce the accused in the court on March 20.

The NAB prosecutor told the court that ex-LDA DG handed over the contract to Bismillah Company in return for 32 kanals of land. The prosecution further alleged the land was transferred to numerous family members of Cheema, including his sister and cousin.
