AC extends Dr Asim’s remand for 10 days
KARACHI (92 News) – The Accountability Court (AC) has on Monday extended the remand of former federal minister for petroleum Dr Asim Hussain for 10 days for the fourth time in corruption in stock exchange shares and land grabbing.
The federal minister was presented in the court, where the accountability court heard the case of corruption against Dr Asim Hussain.
During the hearing the Investigation Officer (IO) Zameer Abbasi said that Dr Asim Hussain was involved in corruption of US $170 million of stock exchange, adding that important evidence against him have been found in Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The IO said that they have recorded the statement of six witnesses, while the accused Dr Asim’s frontman is still at large.
The court while extending his remand for another 10-days adjourned the hearing.
