Accountability should start from PM, his family: Opposition’s joint declaration
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The accountability should start from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family.
This was demanded in a joint declaration of the opposition on Monday.
The opposition rejected the present form of the government’s ToRs.
It said that all the names mentioned in the Panama Leaks should be held accountability.
It demanded that a judicial commission should be formed over Panama disclosures and necessary legislation should be made in consultation with the opposition.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the opposition’s ToRs committee will be held at the residence of PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan at 11am on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the prime minister had failed to fulfill his responsibilities after the Panama Papers were made public.
He said that every party presented its ToRs and the opposition had formed the ToRs committee.
He said that the committee would finalize the ToRs on Tuesday.
Kaira said that they had demanded accountability of everyone, but it should start from the prime minister.
He said that nine parties had participated in the Monday’s meeting.
