ADB president meets Finance Minister Dar, acknowledges progress in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) president Takehiko Nakao has acknowledged the progress made by Pakistan in improving its macroeconomic indicators.

According to a press release, Federal Finance Minister met the ADB president in Baku on Wednesday.

Takehiko Nakao appreciated the path to recovery and structural reforms being implemented under the IMF programme in Pakistan.

Ishaq Dar congratulated the ADB president for holding successful and well organized ADB Board of Governors meeting and other related events.

The ADB president thanked Ishaq Dar on his active participation in the conference and attending the CNBC debate on “Asia’s economic outlook”, contributing richly to the discourse.

The finance minister said ADB was a dependable development partner and looked forward to continued cooperation and support from ADB in Pakistan’s economic progress. – Web Desk
