Law colleges affiliation case: SC summons VCs of nine universities
LAHORE (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan Lahore Registry has on Wednesday summoned Vice Chancellors of nine universities in case relating to affiliation with colleges.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case to pertaining to the affiliation of nine public sector universities with non-standard law colleges.
The universities include Punjab University, Peshawar University, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Islamia University, Gomal University, Balochistan University, Karachi University, University of Sindh and Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai University.
During the proceedings, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar sought details of colleges affiliated with these varsities and the eligibility of the law colleges and asked to submit the respective document in this regard.
While giving remarks, the CJP observed that people were saying he has forgotten the cases of Khair Din and Muhammad Din, but it wasn’t like that. We will work for the betterment of the system, he added.
The court later adjourned the hearing until January 20.
