Air Chief says both pilots were experts, chopper crashed due to technical problem

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief of Air Staff Sohail Aman has said that both the pilots of MI-17 that crashed in Naltar on  Friday were expert pilots, but the helicopter crashed due to a technical fault.

Talking to state TV on Saturday, the air chief said that the helicopter crahsed before the landing, refuting rumors that pilots could not land it properly.

Meanwhile, Highcommisioner of South Africa to Pakistan confirmed the air chief’s caim saying that the helicopter first whirled in the air, then crashed into the school.
