Akhtar Mengal condoles Begum Kulsoom’s death with Nawaz Sharif
LAHORE (92 News) – Balcohistan National Party (BNP) chief Akhtar Mengal visited Jati Umrah to offer condolences to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif over the death of his wife Begum Kalsoom Nawaz.
Paying tribute to Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, he said that her services for democracy will be remembered forever.
“She raised the voice for democracy when it was a big sin,” he said.
The BNP said that Article 6 should not only be applied on the people opposing the dam, but it should be applied on those infringing the constitution.
Meanwhile, politicians and people from different walks of life continued to offer condolences over the demise of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
Her ‘Rasm-e-Qul’ will be held on Sunday.
On the other hand, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif has thanked the people who participated in the funeral of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and condoled with them her death.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will visit Jati Umra and meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to condole the death of Begum Kulsoom.
Nawaz Sharif is currently on parole until Monday. He was released from Adiala Jail after the death of his wife.
