All-rounder Shoaib Malik retires from Test cricket
SHARJAH (92 News) – All-rounder Shoaib Malik has announced his retirement from Test cricket.
He made announcement during a press conference on Tuesday.
He said that he wanted to give an opportunity to the youth.
Shoaib Malik said that his target was the 2019 World Cup. “I will continue the first class cricket. I had been thinking of the retirement since long,” he said.
Team manager Intikhab Alam said that Shoaib Malik had himself announced the retirement.
“It is Shoaib Malik’s last Test,” he added.
Shoaib Malik scored more than 1,800 runs in 35 Tests.
