All sects in Islamabad to offer prayers at same time from today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – All religious sects in the federal capital will pray at the same time from today.

The decision to adopt unified prayer timings last week at a high level meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousuf. The committee included two clerics from each of the four major sects in the capital- Shia, Barelvi, Deobandi and Ahle Hadith.

The minister announced that all mosques in Islamabad will call out the Azaan simultaneously, with the same time for Jumma prayers.
