KARACHI (92 News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain appeared at the London Police Station after his bail period expired in the money laundering case on Tuesday.

Altaf Hussain was accompanied by senior party leaders, including Babar Ghauri.

The MQM said that Altaf had appeared at the London Police Station as per a pre-scheduled appointment.

In 2014, Altaf Hussain was arrested on suspicion of money-laundering during a raid at his residence in northwest London.

On April 1, senior MQM leader Muhammed Anwar was also arrested at his home in North London in connection with the money laundering case. He was released on bail later.

MQM denies any involvement in money laundering.
