AJK SC to hear appeal against disqualification of Sardar Tanvir Ilyas tomorrow
MUZAFFARABAD (92 News) – The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court will hear the appeal against the disqualification of former prime minister Sardar Tanvir Ilyas on Thursday.
His counsels submitted the appeal for third time after being rejected twice.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court Chief Justice Saeed Akram rejected the appeal against the disqualification of former prime minister Sardar Tanvir Ilyas.
The court rejected the petition, declaring it incomplete. The objection was raised that the petition did not carry the word 'former prime minister'.
On Tuesday, the High Court had disqualified Sardar Tanvir Ilyas for two years in a contempt case.
On the other hand, Khawaja Farooq has been appointed as the acting prime minister. AJK President Barrister Sultan Ahmed signed the summary for appointing Khawaja Farooq as acting PM.
