Ali Wazir shifted to Peshawar Central Jail on judicial remand
PESHAWAR (92 News) – An appeal asking for MNA Ali Wazir’s physical remand was rejected on Tuesday and he was shifted to Peshawar jail on judicial remand.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) presented Wazir in Bannu’s anti-terrorism court where it appealed for the physical remand of the MNA. The special duty magistrate dismissing the CTD’s appeal, ordered that Wazir should be transferred to Peshawar jail.
Wazir's medical check-up was also conducted at the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital.
During the hearing, the court ordered to hand Ali Wazir over to the CTD for eight days after which he was transferred to Peshawar for further investigation.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PTM leader was arrested for provoking the protestors to attack the security force’s check post. The MNA was presented in local court in Bannu.

on May 27, an anti-terrorism court granted an eight-day physical remand of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader MNA Ali Wazir to the Counter Terrorism Department officials in the Pakistan Army’s check post attack case.
Ali Wazir, who was involved attacks on Pakistan Army’s Kharqamar check post on Sunday, was presented before an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Bannu. Ali Wazir has been transferred to Peshawar.
