Alliance with independent, PML-N to form Punjab govt: Hamza Shahbaz

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Hamza Shehbaz vowed on Friday that the PML-N will once again form the Punjab government with the help of Independent candidates. During a press conference, the PML-N leader said that the PML-N the has emerged as the largest party in Punjab. "People have voted for us and, with the help of independent candidates, we will form the provincial government," he added. "We will resist any attempt to create hurdles in our way," he warned. Hamza said that despite the reservations they have over the election results, they want democracy to prosper. "I believe the answer for any issues in a democracy, is more democracy. We will play our constitutional role,” he vowed. "In 2013, the PML-N had a mandate to form the government in the Centre as well in KP, but we decided to let the PTI form the government in KP," Hamza said. The PML-N leader further added that the party has won ‘129 seats and has the first right to form the government’ in the province. Hamza also claimed that the independents lawmakers are their likeminded. He commended the victory speech made Imran Khan.
