DELHI (Web Desk) - Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced he will resign from his post within the next two days.

Arvind Kejriwal said he will accept the chief minister’s post only if people certify his honesty in the Delhi assembly elections.

He announced going to the court of people to prove his innocence and demanded that the elections be held in November 2024 instead of February 2025.

It is to be noted here that Arvind Kejriwal, Opposition Leader and the Chief Minister of Delhi, was Friday granted bail by the Supreme Court of India in a graft case.

His release boosted the morale of his decade-old Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as it will allow him to campaign in regional elections next month in the northern state of Haryana, where AAP is trying to make inroads, and in Delhi early next year.

Kejriwal was first taken into custody in March by India's financial crime-fighting agency, weeks before the country's national elections, in relation to alleged irregularities in the capital city's liquor policy.
