Awam Pakistan Party announces token protest outside K-Electric Office tomorrow

KARACHI (92 News) - The Awam Pakistan Party (APP) on Saturday announced to stage a token protest outside K-Electric Office.

Addressing a press conference, he said that those seeking sacrifice from the masses should first offer their sacrifice. “We will have to bring the people’s system by changing the rule system,” he maintained.

He demanded that domestic consumers should be exempted from income and sales tax for four months. He appealed to the NEPRA to take notice of overbilling by DISCOs.

“The government has failed to give a relief to the masses. A consumer paying a bill of Rs55,000 bill has been served a bill of Rs175,000. Overbilling should be stopped immediately. Loadshedding duration should be reduced. We will have to go towards the resolution of the IPPs and other problems,” he added.
