Contempt case: GB former chief judge Rana Shamim tenders unconditional apology

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Gilgit Baltistan former chief judge Rana Shamim tendered an unconditional apology in the contempt of court case on Monday.

In his reply submitted to the Islamabad High Court, Rana Shamim said that he had to written the name of the senior most judge after chief justice. "But I wrote the name of Justice Aamer Farooq erroneously," he added.

He said that he had heard their conversation during a meeting with the former chief justice.

Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that they understand the sensitivity of the matter. "The matter is getting complex," he added.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court ordered Rana Shamim to resubmit his affidavit till September 19.
