ISLAMABAD (92 News) - MQM leader Mustafa Kamal submitted his affidavit to Supreme Court Karachi Registry in the contempt of court case, seeking unconditional apology.

In the reply, he stated that he respected the judges from the core of his heart. “I cannot even think of defaming the credibility and powers of the judiciary and judges. I seek unconditional apology for each of my statements about the judiciary, particularly my press conference on May 16. I leave myself to the mercy of the court,” he contended.

Senator Faisal Vawda, in his reply, stated that the objective of his press conference was not to insult the judiciary, but betterment of the country. He appealed to court to show restraint in forwarding the court proceedings and withdraw the contempt of court notice.

He also presented the transcripts of the speeches of PM Shehbaz Sharif, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman and PTI spokesman Rauf Hassan.
