ISLAMABAD (92 News) – After the completion of contracts of two members of the Prime Minister's Inspection Commission (PMIC) investigation of Pandora Papers is likely to be affected.

One-year contract of PMIC member Abu Akif and Dr. MA Kamal has been completed on Sunday. Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Kamal is the head of the committee investigating the Pandora Papers. He was appointed as the head of the Pandora Papers investigation team despite his lack of experience in white collar crime.

PMIC member Chartered Accountant Abdul Wahab was not included in the Pandora Papers probe. The PMIC chairman had handed over the leadership of Pandora Papers to the former VC of UET instead of the chartered accountant.

PMIC Chairman Ahmad Yar Hiraj sent a summary for extension of contract of both members. The final decision on the extension of contracts will be taken by the Prime Minister.

It is pertinent to mention that offshore companies of 700 Pakistanis, including many big politicians, appeared in Pandora Papers.
