Cop, accused killed in firing on Lahore court premises
LAHORE (92 News) – An under-trial accused and a constable were killed in firing by the accused’s opponents on the premises of the Sessions Court on Wednesday.
Amjad Gujjar, a murder suspect, and Asif Iqbal, a police officer escorting him, were killed when they came under fire.
All the Sessions Court gates were closed after the incident and a search was launched to arrest the accused.
Enmity has been going on between both groups since long.
The Lahore High Court chief justice asked the LHC registrar to submit a report on the incidence. The Punjab Police IG has also taken notice of the incident and ordered that the attacker be arrested.
