ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Additional District and Sessions Judge Hamayun Dilawar declared the Toshakhana case maintainable on Saturday, rejecting the petition of the PTI chairman.

The court announced the reserved verdict. The court also decided to start the trial against the PTI chairman and summoned witnesses on July 12.

The PTI chairman had filed a petition against admissibility of the Toshakhana case. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) had rejected his plea and directed the trial court to re-decide the maintainability of the Toshakhana case within seven days after hearing the PTI chairman.

However, the counsel for the PTI chairman did not present the arguments and as a result, his right to hearing was withheld.

The court announced the verdict only after hearing the arguments of the ECP counsel. The PTI counsels had been seeking time for arguments for the last three days.
