Court reserves verdict on acquittal of Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza in money laundering case

LAHORE (92 News) - Accountability Court Judge Qamaruz Zaman reserved the verdict on acquittal of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz in the money laundering case on Monday.

The court will announce the verdict on July 20. The court reserved the verdict after the final arguments presented by his counsel Amjad Pervaiz.

The counsel contended that the NAB had filed a fake and fabricated reference against them.

"Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz own the assets as per law and the constitution. Hence the allegations of money laundering and assets beyond means could not be proved. In the supplementary report, it has been stated that no evidence of corruption and money laundering could be found Imran Khan and other accused," he added.
