KARACHI (92 News) – Incessant rain continued to wreak havoc for the third day, inundating more areas in the city. Traffic was blocked on the road due to a flood in a stream in Korangi Causeway. Knee-deep water was accumulated in KDA Chowrangi, Sharah-e-Faisal, Karsaz Road, PECHS, Mahmoodabad and Kharadar. Several bikes and vehicles were stuck in the rainwater accumulated on roads. Heaps of garbage and mud have multiplied the problems of the residents in Gulbahar Kashmiri. People have been besieged in their houses. Rainwater has accumulated around Wazir Mansion. At several places, dirt has scattered due to overflowing of drains. As many as nine people have so far been killed due to roof collapse incidents and electrocution. In Layari, two people were killed and another injured due to the roof collapse. People are facing a long power shutdown due to the rain. On the other hand, K-Electric has held citizens responsible for the deaths. Meanwhile, different cities, including Hyderabad, Sukkur, Sanghar and Nawabshah, received heavy rain. As a result, low-lying areas were inundated there. In Dera Bugti, two people drowned in a stream. In Kachu, several areas drowned due to floods. The PDMA has issued an alert, asking the people to migrate to safer areas.
