Democracy is only way of Pakistan's survival, says MQM chief

KARACHI (92 News) - MQM chief Khalid Maqbool has said that democracy is the only way of the survival of Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that all stakeholders will have to offer the sacrifice of their part to save the state instead of politics. "The MQM has regained its mandate. Pakistan faces the threats of terrorism," he added.

Mustafa Kamal said that the MQM polling agents were forced to leave the polling stations. "Our votes were not counted before us. Political parties will have to look into their collars," he added.
