ECP bans social media websites in office premises

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Tuesday banned the usage of social media websites in office premises.

According to a notification issued, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) banned the usage of social media websites including Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.

According to the notification, the restriction has been applied in view of the hacking attacks on the official website and the purpose of restriction is to create discipline.

The ban would be applicable to Election Commission Secretariat and all provincial and district offices.
