Fawad Chaudhary links ECP funds to conduct of next elections through EVM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhary has said that the funds will be released to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) if it conducted the next elections through the electronic voting machine.

Briefing the media after a meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday, he said that the affidavit submitted by Gilgit Baltistan former judge Rana Shamim in London is in fact a conspiracy hatched by the PML-N.

He said that he Sindh government is not controlling the prices and it was affecting the entire country. "We cannot frisk the Sindh Cabinet members, but they all are involved in it," he maintained.

The minister said that the cabinet had expressed concern over the leaked videos, saying had the action taken in the Senate elections it would have not happened.

He demanded that the ECP should take the audio-tape scandal to the logical end. "The prices have been reducing continuously. The sugar price will reduce by Rs 60 in a month," he added.
