Federal govt holding coronavirus responsible to hide its incompetence: Sindh CM

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the federal government is holding coronavirus responsible to conceal its incompetence. Addressing the post-budget press conference on Thursday, he questioned that what the government had done before the emergence of coronavirus nine months ago. He said that the Centre was devouring Sindh of Rs229 billion. “We had to reduce the development budget due to the Centre. We will not tolerate their incompetence during the next 12 months,” he said. The Sindh chief minister said that they were paying special attention to the health sector. “We approved the health risk allowance for paramedics. We have increased the salaries of the government employees despite difficulties,” he added. He said that the Sindh government had allocated Rs34 billion for the Social Protection Programme. “An amount of Rs5 billion has been allocated for loans to be given to small businesses,” he added.
