Firdous Ashiq Awan announces to quit PTI, says Imran Khan and Pakistan can't go together

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Firdous Ashiq Awan announced to quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying that Imran Khan and Pakistan cannot go together.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, she said that she has no link with any extremist action. "I have not been part of any meeting of the PTI spokesperson for the last one and a half years," she maintained.

She said that negative propaganda was launched by spending billions of rupees. "I condemn the May 9 incidents. The minds of the youth were polluted under a planning. Pakistan is first of all for me. The violent incidents were planned in Zaman Park. Memorials of the martyrs were attacked under a planning," she added.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that a particular group had taken the PTI hostage. "The PTI promoted the politics of hatred in the country. A transparent probe should be conducted into the May 9 incidents and responsible should be brought to justice," she demanded.

She said that the agenda of Imran Khan is lethal for the country. "Youths are being sacrificed at the altar of stubbornness and ego of a person. I am leaving the PTI due to its saboteur activities," she declared.
