Govt has reduced its expenses as much as it could, says Attaullah Tarar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that the government had reduced its expenses as much as it could.

Reacting to the statement of former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday, he said that the impression of giving Rs500 billion to parliamentarians was wrong.

“The members of the federal cabinet are not getting salaries and perks. Our former colleagues have presented wrong statistics. It seems that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have not gone through the budget book,” he maintained.

The minister said that the government was working on the agenda of reforms. “The dissolution of PWD has started. A committee has been established for downsizing and rightsizing. The government believes in practical steps,” he added.
