Addressing a press conference, the JUI-F chief said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has announced to support ‘Azadi March’ and Shehbaz Sharif is not hesitating form the protest. “The anti-government ‘Azadi March’ is a national level movement and not only the opposition parties but the political parties in government alliance have also agreed to this,” he claimed. “There is no hope of change in the economic condition of the country in the next two years,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said. He also said that the government lodged cases against political rivals to divert focus from economic failure through accountability process. The JUI-F chief said that the country is going through crisis and the current government and incompetent rulers tried to find the solution of public issues in ‘eggs and hens’, cows and now Ehsas Saylani Langar Scheme is being run.
Will stop Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Azadi March: KP CM
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has affirmed that he will stop JUI-F chief Fazalur Rehman’s Azadi March. Addressing a ceremony at the Chief Minister’s House, the KP chief minister reiterated that he will not let Maulana Fazalur Rehman reach Islamabad to stage a sit-in. “I will stop Fazalur Rehman’s Azadi March. Maulana’s protest is not understandable,” he maintained. “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had staged sit-in against electoral rigging in four constitutions and Panama scandal,” Mahmood Khan. He asked that for which religious purpose Maulana Fazl is going to stage protest. “What is your problem,” he questioned. The KP chief minister also challenged the JUI-F chief that he would stop him from reaching Islamabad, advising the JUI-F chief to stage sit-in Dera Ismail Khan for changing name as Islamabad.
