RAWALPINDI (92 News) - The Jamaat-e-Islami continued the sit-in against inflation and hefty utility bills for the 11th day on Monday.

The JI workers also continued their sit-in in Karachi.

Talking to the media outside the Governor’s House in Karachi, Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the government could do a lot if it wanted to do so. “About 250 million people are worried. Hefty bills have broken the backbone of the people. We will not allow anyone to do injustice with the people,” he maintained.

He said that the agreements signed with the IPPs were cruel and unjustified. “We are going to make history of peaceful protests in Pakistan. The rulers have taken Pakistan on the brink of destruction and assets of these rulers should be frozen,” he added.
