Jamaat-e-Islami rejects defamation bill, demands immediate withdrawal

LAHORE (92 News) - Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has rejected the defamation bill, saying that the bill gagging the thought is unacceptable.

During a meeting with the leaders of the Joint Action Committee on Thursday, he said that the entire Pakistan will speak out if the rulers will not allow the people to speak out.

“A massive movement will be launched if the government did not immediately withdraw the bill. The method does not justify in the country where the law and the constitution exist,” he added.

The JI ameer said that the government wants to move everyone through the power. “It is better for the PML-N that it should withdraw the bill,” he added.
