KARACHI (92 News) - The Jamaat-e-Islami announced to stage a sit-in against undue taxes and hefty utility bills in Islamabad on July 12.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, JI ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the government should provide a relief to the masses before enforcing the IMF budget.

He said that Karachi is the biggest tax payer in the country, but it has no gas and electricity. “The power distribution companies are in a satanic connection. The US interference on toppling of a government was unacceptable. No country can interfere in the internal matters of Pakistan,” he added.

The JI ameer declared that those trying to stop the sit-in will have to pay the price.
