LAHORE (92 News) – PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that there was need for a joint strategy against the coronavirus pandemic, but it could not be formed. Addressing a meeting on Tuesday, he said that Bilawal Bhutto had first of all asked the prime minister to lead the nation over the matter, but he did not utter a single word. “Nowadays the Supreme Court and the media are saying this. The Centre has not given a grant of a single rupee to Sindh and Punjab,” he maintained. Kaira said that on the one side the prime minister is opposing the lockdown and advising the people stay at homes on the other side. “The prime minister is confused and his stance is contradictory,” he added. He said that the world and international organizations are appreciating the performance of the Sindh government, but the federal government is criticizing Sindh. The PPP leader said that the government has failed in distributing the relief amount among the deserving people. He said that the situation would have been better had strict lockdown had been observed during the first 15 days. Kaira said that the PPP would not compromise on the rights of the people and provinces. “The PPP will play its role if an attempt was made to disturb the law,” he added.
