ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said that UN Security Council (UNSC) passed a resolution giving oppressed Kashmiris their right to self-determination before 71 years but not implemented till now. In a series of tweet on Right to Self-determination Day of Kashmiris on Sunday, the special assistant has pressed upon the UN and international community to fulfill their promise of granting right to self-determination to the Kashmiris. She said the persistence, courage and sacrifice with which the Kashmiris are sticking to their right is a testimony to the fact that they will succeed in and the enemy will fail. “Today, we give message to the brave Kashmiris that we are with them in their struggle for their right to self-determination. The whole Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is also with them. We will continue to provide political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris,” she tweeted. “From 71 years, the blood of Kashmiris is being flouted and their dignity is also being violated. This chapter of oppression is only prolonging because the international community, the UNSC are not fulfilling their duty,” Firdous mentioned.
