LHC grants bail to Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi in illegal appointments case

LAHORE (92 News) - Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhary of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday granted bail to Punjab former chief minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi in the illegal appointments case.

The court ordered Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi to furnish surety bonds worth Rs100,000.

Amir Saeed Raan, counsel for Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, contended that the case was registered on political grounds.

Meanwhile, a local court extended the interim bail of Qaisara Elahi and Rasakh Elahi in the Ring Road extension case until March 6.
