Maulana Fazalur Rehman rejects overall election results, announces to sit in opposition

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman on Wednesday rejected the election results and announced that they would sit in the opposition.

Addressing a press conference, he said that the JUI-F would not forge an alliance with any party. "I invite Nawaz Sharif to sit in the opposition jointly. This election broke the rigging record of the 2018 elections. If the establishment thinks that the elections are right, then the May 9 narrative created by it buries," he maintained.

He said that their quarrel with the PTI is not of bodies, but minds. "We are not obedient to the PML-N and the PPP," he added.

The JUI-F chief said that the parliament had lost its popularity and democracy had lost its case. "It seems that the decisions will be made in fields, not in the House," he added.

He said that the international forces had conspired against them. "Workers should get ready for countrywide protests."

Responding to a question about the voting Shehbaz Sharif, Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that they were not allies of the government.

He alleged that the ECP role had been suspicious since day one. "We have not decided to quit the assemblies. We will participate in the assemblies with reservations," he added.
