ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi has approved the setting up of a world-class and first international standard Safari Park in Islamabad to provide recreational facility to the citizens.

Federal Minister for Interior chaired a meeting in this regard at the CDA Headquarters. During the meeting, proposals regarding the establishment of the Safari Park were reviewed.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa briefed the Federal Interior Minister on the project. In the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi gave the in principle approval for the establishment of safari park in the capital. The Safari Park will be spread over 200 acres of land. Around 5,000 animals and birds will be kept in the park. In the first phase, it will be started with 2,000 animals and birds.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to get the Safari Park registered with the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. He also directed to finalize all matters related to the project on priority. He also directed that the foundation stone of the Safari Park should be laid in October, adding that safari park will increase tourism in the city.
